The SP201-SA, a member of the SignalPath™ Signaling Gateway product line, addresses the need for a low-cost product that is universally compatible with most enterprise and customer premise PBXs, IP-PBXs, IP video conferencing, media gateways, and multi-service access devices. The compact SP201-SA desktop unit, which supports CAS (R1, R2, DTMF) and ETSI and NI2 ISDN, is capable of carrying traffic over T1/E1 trunks via standard BNC or RJ48 connections.
The SP201-SA was developed as a PBX solution for both carrier and enterprise customers. With its low cost, expanded feature set, and small footprint, the SP201-SA will attract the business of enterprise Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) vendors who want to establish ISDN to legacy protocol network connections in regions they are currently unable to service due to deficiencies in their networks' signaling capabilities.

The SP201-SA, designed for fast, easy, economical integration of CAS and ISDN networks, quite simply connects PBX type equipment with a digital T1 or E1 interface to legacy signaling equipment with a digital T1 or E1 interface over the PSTN.
COMPACT DESIGN
The SP201-SA is an extremely compact unit (1.7 x 9 inches and weighing only 1.5 lbs.) designed for limited space. It is easy to co-locate with existing PBX equipment. Available in both 2-port and 4-port models, it provides the ability to connect T1 or E1 trunks through either two or four physical interfaces.
