The Cisco AS5300 is an award-winning dialup remote access server and voice-over-IP (VoIP) gateway. When equipped with voice feature cards (VFCs) and voice-enabled Cisco IOS software, the AS5300 supports carrier-class VoIP and fax over IP services. In addition to being H.323 compliant, the Cisco AS5300/Voice Gateway supports a family of industry- standard voice CODECs and provides echo cancellation and voice activity detection (VAD)/silence suppression. It offers an integrated interactive voice response (IVR) application that provides voice prompts and digit collection in order to authenticate the user and identify the call destination.
